Pharmachem to Launch GPM™ Biome Fermented Nutrients with Postbiotics at SupplySide Global

Hero background

Pharmachem Innovations, a leader in innovative nutritional solutions, will showcase its latest advancements in GPM™ Fermented Nutrients, now with a clinically relevant dose of postbiotics (1 billion TFU), at the upcoming SupplySide Global tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV, October 29-30 (Booth #4845). The latest launch of GPM™ Biome provides a dual-benefit solution – enhanced nutrient absorption and gut/immune support* in one clean-label ingredient. The use of patented probiotics in GPM™ Biome delivers next-generation functional nutrition and strong label claims.

Pharmachem’s line of GPM™ fermented nutrients includes vitamins and minerals that have been fermented, which helps the body recognize these nutrients as food. When nutrients are bound to a “food matrix,” absorption and bioavailability increase, making them easier on the digestive system.  Unlike isolated synthetics or engineered chelates, GPM™ nutrients mimic how vitamins and minerals occur in nature elevating the consumer experience. GPM™ fermented nutrients are available as organic, non-GMO, soy-free and gluten-free.

Clinical Evidence of Bioavailability & Tolerability

Recent clinical studies have shown increased plasma levels as well as tolerability with GPM™ Fermented Zinc and GPM™ Fermented Iron.

Chart showing plasma zinc concentrations over time for GPM fermented zinc vs USP zinc

In a double-blind, randomized crossover trial (Jäger et al., 2024; Nutrients), 16 adults received a single 11 mg dose of zinc as either GPM™ Fermented Zinc vs USP zinc oxide. Plasma zinc concentrations were significantly higher with GPM™ Fermented Zinc at 120, 180, and 240 minutes. Compared to zinc oxide, GPM™ Fermented Zinc demonstrated an ~40% greater incremental AUC and a ~10% higher Cmax (trend). Both formulations were well tolerated, with no reports of gastrointestinal distress.

In a randomized, three-period crossover trial (Secrest et al., 2025; Cureus), 17 adults received 18 mg of iron as GPM™ Fermented Iron vs ferrous bisglycinate (FBC) vs ferrous fumarate (FF). GPM™ Iron demonstrated superior absorption, with serum iron levels averaging +27 mcg/dL higher than FF and a significantly greater iAUC compared to both FBC and FF. All formulations were well tolerated, with no gastrointestinal side effects reported, highlighting GPM™’s favorable safety profile.

“Our fermentation process is already clinically proven to improve nutrient absorption and digestive comfort. Now, via our proprietary fermentation process, GPMBiome naturally generates beneficial postbiotics with clinically supported immune benefits,” said Árpád Széchényi, President & CEO of Pharmachem Innovations. “This innovation reflects consumer demand for science-driven, clean-label, solutions that support gut and microbiome health.”
